I love this image. It’s a frame taken from Go Pro footage I shot at Bondi.  The frame before it is shit, the frame after it is shit. But this one I love. Shooting 30 frames a second, it takes a certain kind of obsession to find that one exquisite frame. I have it. I’m that person. Click on the image to see it full screen.

 

This image tells the story of me finding my tribe behind the breaks at Bondi, not long after I relocated from Melbourne to Sydney in early 2021.

 

It also marks the beginning of a new filmmaking project – Shark Bait.

 

There comes a certain time in life when you just need to double down on your youness. And this image represents that for me.

I’m not sure I’ll find another image I like as much, but if I do I’ll post it here..
