Following an extraordinarily successful corporate life, as an advertising Creative Director and Director of Strategy Planning, with 8 years on the Clemenger Melbourne board of directors, and a year working in the Paris office, Sarah established La Vérité Films to pursue her passion for filmmaking.

La Vérité Films has financed three very tactical short films to showcase Hatherley's craft honed over years of directing brand films and writing feature screenplays. She started shooting proof of concept for her first feature in 2017. And stumbled onto an even bigger story., Use Of Force - a 6 part returnable crime drama.

Despite market place interest in the TV drama, the 2020 COVID lockdown saw Hatherley pivot to release a Use Of Force podcast, the true story has shocked and thrilled Australian and International audiences propelling the sries into top ten true crime with download rates in the top 5% of global podcasts.

In between films, she has written and illustrated four children’s storybooks, and created Funny Feelings® emotional literacy resources. La Verite Publishing released apps, posters, cards, games and more. Her apps have had tens of thousands of downloads.

Creator of Boobytrap® underwear brand, Sarah manufactured a range of fun, photographic print bras, briefs and more. The colourful condom bra was an instant hit.
